CARE Goondiwindi – Registered NDIS Provider:

Care Goondiwindi has provided services and supports to people with a disability and their carers/families since 1993 giving us over 25 years experience in our local area. We understand that each person is unique and has their own skills, dreams and goals and our goal is to assist people with a disability and their families make those dreams and goals a reality.

Care Goondiwindi has been a Registered NDIS provider since 2016 and we are approved to deliver the following Registration Groups under the NDIS:

• Group/Centre Activities – Increased social & community participation within a group.

• Plan Management – Assisting participants with plan management of their individual NDIS plans through payment of accounts.

• Participation in the Community – Increase social and community participation through a wide range of activities.

• Household Tasks – Assistance with daily tasks within the home environment.

• Daily Tasks/Shared Living – Assisting participants with short term respite.

• Assist-Travel/Transport – Transport to access daily activities.

• Assist-Personal Activities – Assisting participants with personal tasks/activities and daily living skills.

• Assist-Life Stage, Transition – Assisting participants with Support Coordination (Level 1 & 2) to strengthen their ability to live at home and participate in the community by linking them with the supports that they need.

Care Goondiwindi Disability Services Staff:

 

Care Goondiwindi currently has 27staff working in Disability Services through out our service area who are either qualified in, or studying a minimum Certificate III in Disability Services. All staff have current Blue Cards, Working with Children Checks and Yellow Cards for Disability Services as well as current First Aid Certificates.

Last year our staff delivered over 26,000 hours in assisting our participants to reach their individual NDIS goals.

Care Goondiwindi Service Delivery:

 

Care Goondiwindi offers a wide range of supports from one-on-one, self care, group activities, supported holidays, over night support, day trips, assistance in home/garden and much more.

Set Group activities include:

1. Monday & Thursday – Cooking Group – participants learn to plan a meal, shop for the ingredients and then prepare and cook the food while learning about food hygiene practices.

2. Tuesday & Thursday – MAPRescue – Participants learn how to care for animals through the local Pet Rescue group.  Participants assist with feeding, watering, cleaning the cages and grooming the animals as well as providing much needed cuddles and interaction with the animals to help prepare them for adoption.

3. Thursdays – Community Gardens – participants learn how to plant seedlings and looking after their plants and vegetables.
